This idyllic pastoral scene is one of a beautiful pair of English landscapes from acclaimed contemporary artist John Waterhouse. Serene and beautiful, it is typically subtle in tone with the only colour coming from the palest pink blossom which appears luminous in the misty light. A winding river takes centre stage, and in the far distance, a lone figure stands on the riverbank who we can only envy. This contemplative limited edition can be displayed alone or with its partner piece, ‘Our Favourite Place’.
