Blackwell is a place of endless inspiration for Nicola. Time and time again its enchanting secrets and decorative detail appeal to her senses. It was almost 17 years ago when the Moorcroft designer first visited the Arts and Crafts House overlooking Lake Windermere. Since her first Blackwell design, Nicola has perfected the art of recreating this special stained-glass effect- black leadwork and panes of colour, tinged with the slightest ash-grey. Her latest homage to Blackwell House sees blue birds, ruby tulips, roses and roundels filled with magenta spots. For admirers of rich, luxurious colour and for those who love a good story, 1901 meets and exceeds every expectation.
