Moorcroft Trefoil

Moorcroft Trefoil

Trefoil Collection

Clover, or Trefoil (coming from the Latin for ‘three’ and ‘leaf’) grow in close correlation to the population of bees, as they are most efficiently pollinated by bumblebees. Honeybees can also pollinate clover, and beekeepers are often in heavy demand from farmers with clover pastures. Likewise, beekeepers benefit from the clover bloom, as it is one of the main nectar sources for honeybees. For this reason and a simple admiration of their pretty blooms, Nicola summoned them into her art, whilst her natural attraction to blues and whites still prevails.
